The central cottage of the North block is original and features two storeys, with a central entrance flanked by a casement window on each side and two 3-light casements on the first floor. The side wings, which have stone rubble walls and gothic leaded casements, were added in 1807. The roofs are thatched. St Margaret's Charity Almshouses and Chapel form a group.
