Description

SOUTH BLOCK: 18th cent. Georgian. 2 storeys. Harled. Piended

slated roof. Band courses. Gibbsian windows. Two wings

projecting from front; 2-storey pedimented portico (with

stair) between. Inset (dated 1671) from earlier house.

Interior: 1st storey vaulted. Good rooms in 2nd.

NORTH BLOCK: 19th cent. Scots Baronial. 2 storeys and garret.

Rubble. Gabled. Slated roof. Curvilinear gablets. Pedimented

dormers. Oriel and bay windows. Octagonal tower (ashlar).

Linked to south block with pend dated 1879. Repairs to south

block dated 1924.
