Description

Middle Farmhouse is a detached house dating to the 17th century, with alterations and new windows added in the early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and has a tiled roof with coped verges, and gable end brick stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three window bays. A central, pilastered stone porch features an elliptical-arched double door, which is half-glazed, with arched lights in the side walls. Flanking the porch are tripartite 12-pane sash windows. The first floor has a central 12-pane sash window above the porch, with tripartite sashes on either side. The right return side of the house has blocked mullioned windows with hoodmoulds to both the ground and first floors. The rear of the house includes a 3-light mullioned casement window to the left, and a 19th-century gabled wing to the right with casements and a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate. The interior was not accessible during a survey in March 1987.
