Description
Sandpit Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features a stone-tiled roof with coped gables and end-wall stacks. The building has two storeys and a three-window range of ovolo-moulded recessed mullion windows with leaded lights. On the first floor, there are three 2-light windows, while the ground floor has two 3-light windows with a drip course above. The entrance is off-centre, featuring a door in a flush chamfered surround with a hood supported by brackets. There are 20th-century stone-tiled extensions at each end, each with a similar 3-light mullion window and hoodmould on the front. Additionally, there are 20th-century rear additions.
