Description

Court Cottage is a pair of houses dating from the late 17th century, constructed of rubble stone with a stone-tiled roof, coped gables, and end-wall stacks. The building has two storeys and a four-window front. The windows are recessed with ovolo-moulded mullions and hoodmoulds; they are three-light, four-light, and two-light on the ground floor, and three-light, two-light, four-light, and two-light on the first floor. The four-light windows have king mullions. The front door is set within a moulded, flush surround with a deep hoodmould. A small two-light window is located on the south end wall, at ground floor level. The rear elevation features a projecting central chimney gable and a single-window range of three-light windows to the right, with a hollow-moulded king mullion above and an ovolo-moulded mullion below.
