Description

The dovecote located to the southwest of Bolehyde Manor dates from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone-tiled roof with a coped south gable that includes a saddlestone. The building has flush quoins. The east gable end is adorned with an upper moulded oval light and two small stone quatrefoil lights positioned below. On the south side, there are two small casements with cambered heads and flush keystones. The west end wall contains dove openings, while the west gable end is topped with an iron weathervane inscribed with "C.O. 1657" in pierced letters.
