Description
The Pitts is a house that has been converted into a pair of cottages, dating from the 17th century and altered over time. It is built of rubble stone and has a cement-rendered front, with stone-tiled roofs and end wall stacks on the front range. The building is L-shaped, with two storeys and an attic, featuring two hipped dormers. The front has a three-window range of 19th-century timber casements, with a two-light window above the door and four-light windows on each side. The rear wing has a hipped stone-tiled roof and a north end casement window that includes a datestone from 1681. Inside, there is a large fireplace with a timber lintel and two chamfered and bar-stopped spine beams on the left side of the ground floor.
