Description
This is an 18th-century barn located to the north of Allington Manor Farmhouse. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a stone-tiled roof, with a gabled cart entry on the projecting west side that is weatherboarded over the entry. The barn has a seven-bay tie-beam-and-collar truss roof and a plain rear cart entry. Attached to the west side is an L-plan range of open stalls built around 1840 to 1850, which includes circular piers. At the south end, there is a pig-sty range, with one stall that has a door and window on each side, followed by five open stalls supported by square piers, also dating from around 1840 to 1850.
