Description
The Cottage is a house dated 1741, constructed of painted rubble stone with a Bridgewater tile roof. It features coped gables, a small ashlar stack at the west end, and a larger brick stack at the east end. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range of flush stopped-chamfer moulded two-light stone-mullion windows. A string course on the first floor is interrupted by a stone hood supported by brackets over the central door. There is a date stone above reading "TTE J74J". A 20th-century timber glazed porch has been added. To the right, there is an additional two-story range with three cyma-moulded two-light stone-mullion windows on the first floor and one window on the rear wall.
