Description
Nos 1 and 3 on Catherine Street are early 19th-century buildings situated on a corner site with Milford Street. They are three stories tall and constructed of red brick with a low pitch hipped slate roof and flat eaves. The front facing Catherine Street features four recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars, block sills, and flat brick arches. There is a modern shop front at No 1 that extends to Milford Street, while No 3 has an Edwardian shop front. The upper floors on the Milford Street side have seven similar windows, one of which is blind, and the ground floor is modern. Nos 1 and 3 are part of a group with Nos 4 to 16 (even) on Milford Street.
