Description

Cuckoo Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Crookwood Lane in Urchfont. It is constructed of brick and timber framing, rendered and covered with a thatched roof. The house is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays. The two bays on the left are approximately symmetrical, with a central 4-panelled door set within a heavy frame, sheltered by a flat canopy supported on shaped brackets. There are 2-light and 3-light 19th-century casement windows. The bay to the right of the central stack shows evidence of a jetty. Deep casement windows are present, and the gable has a half-hip shape with exposed timber framing. A gable stack is located on the left side, and there is a lean-to extension to the rear. The interior has not been inspected but may be of interest.
