Description

No. 8 The Butts is a 17th-century cottage located in a row of similar buildings. It is constructed of colourwashed stone rubble and features a thatched roof. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays. The central entrance has a boarded door, and there is a 12-pane casement window above it, both topped with segmental brick arches. To the right, there is a pair of doors leading to a service bay. The left side has a stack, and the thatch extends over a 4-pane casement dormer. Inside, there is a round pole spine beam.
