Description

No. 2 The Butts is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and has a colourwashed exterior with a thatched roof. The building is one storey high with an attic, featuring two bays and a rear lean-to. The entrance door is located to the right of the service bay and is a 20th-century boarded and studded door. The cottage has casement windows with timber lintels, one of which is leaded. The thatch extends over the attic window, and there is a larger attic window at the rear. A stack is present on the left gable, with an additional stack added to the right bay. Inside, the cottage features spine beams.
