Description
This is an 18th-century building on the north side of High Street. It is a three-storey stucco building, with the right-hand half painted. The building has a moulded parapet. The upper floors contain four windows per floor, each with a three-light design and Doric surrounds featuring pilasters and an entablature. The first floor features four Palladian windows with similar surrounds and central keyblocks. The outer windows project as two-storey, angular bays. A 19th-century shop front is located on the ground floor, featuring a flat pent overhang with a triglyph frieze and a flat, bracketed, and moulded cornice, supported by four Doric columns with square bases. The building forms a group with numbers 131 to 144 (inclusive) and the Midland Bank, and is opposite the Town Hall and numbers 1 to 12 (inclusive).
