Description

No 144 on High Street is a small three-storey extension built in the early 19th century, located to the right of Mundy's repeating design of an older front. It features one angular bay on the upper floors, which is framed by a Doric surround. The ground floor has a small plain 19th-century shop. This building, along with Nos 131 to 144 and the Midland Bank, forms a group with the Town Hall and Nos 1 to 12 opposite.
