Description

These are two houses, numbers 32 and 34, located on the north-west side of South Street. They appear to date from the mid-18th century, although they have been significantly altered by later modernisation. The buildings are two and a half storeys high. Number 32 is constructed of painted brick, while number 34 has a rendered exterior. Both have a plat band, and overlapping eaves courses. The roofs are tiled, with a half-hipped design, a central chimney stack, and flanking hipped dormers. Each property has two ranges of windows, with 2-light casement windows. Number 32 includes a modern inserted window on the first floor to the right, and shutters to the other windows, except for the first-floor window of the same property. Central doors are present in each building, and they have modern hoods above. The interiors have been completely gutted.
