Description
Mill House is a 16th-century building that has been altered and modernized. It is primarily timber-framed, with the east front brick-faced. The ground floor is constructed of brick, flint, and Chilmark rubble infill, partly filling a former jetty. Sections of the wall are slate-hung, above the remains of the jetty. The braced timber frame is covered by a modern tiled roof. The north gable end features two 2-light casements on the first floor and modern weatherboarded cladding at the tip. A wide, modern bay window is located on the ground floor. A side chimney is situated to the west. The interior of the ground floor is of interest, featuring ceiling beams with a minor dragon beam arrangement.
