Description

This milestone, located on the west side of the Bristol Road about 150 meters northeast of the county boundary, is possibly from the 18th century. It features a 19th-century cast-iron plaque that displays the distances to Bristol (18 miles) and Malmesbury (9 miles) in raised capital letters.
