Description

Friar's Pardon is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It features a timber frame with brick and flint banded noggings, and has brick gables with stone quoins. The roof is thatched. The house is single storey with an attic and consists of three bays, with the main living room located on the north side. There is a boarded door in the central bay, which is sheltered by a thatched canopy. The windows are paned sliding types. A large timber-framed dormer is present in the main chamber, adorned with a carved pendant at its apex. There is a stack located within the right gable wall, and a rear extension of one bay on the left, which has been partly rebuilt.
