Description
Nos 303 (Rosebank Cottage), 304, and 305 (April Cottage) are a group of three cottages that were originally a farmhouse, dating from the mid-17th century. The building is timber framed, with some areas roughcast and others smooth rendered, topped with a thatched roof. It is a single storey with an attic and consists of three bays. The framing features three panels high with corner braces and tall framed gables on the two western bays.
No 304 has a part-glazed door located opposite the stack, with the thatch extending down as a canopy, likely marking the original entrance. Rosebank Cottage has paned windows, while the other two cottages have had their windows replaced with 20th-century aluminium. Shutters have been added to No 304. There is one dormer and one flush dormer on the right bay, along with a brick stack on No 304 and another on the left gable.
