Description

Figheldean House is a house dating from approximately the 1840s to the 1860s, built on the site of a former manor house. The exterior is roughcast brick with a thatched roof, although the service wing has a tiled roof. The house is two storeys high, with a cellar, and is arranged in a 'L' shape, featuring four bays at the front and a rear wing to the left containing the main reception rooms. 20th-century extensions have been added to the rear. A door is situated within an open thatched porch. The windows are timber-framed, paned, and have label mouldings above. The roof is hipped, with a stack featuring diagonal shafts between the third and fourth bays at the front, and a similar stack to the rear wing.

Inside, there is a long, wide hallway. The reception rooms have corniced ceilings, and the front living room retains its original fireplace.
