Description
No. 7 St Margaret's Place is a building from the 18th century that features a front added to an earlier house. It has a continuous roof-line with Nos 8 and 9 and stands three storeys tall. The structure is made of rubble with some ashlar blocks and has a parapet with stone capping. The roof is modern and covered with pantiles. There are remains of a stringcourse under the second-floor windows. The building has two windows per storey, with the second-floor featuring casements, while the other floors have sash windows, although the glazing bars are missing. There is evidence that some windows have been partly blocked to reduce their size. The entrance has modern double glazed doors with a small hood above. No. 7 is part of a group that includes Nos 34 St Margaret's Hill and all the listed buildings in St Margaret's Place.
