Description
Bumpkins and Dormy Cottage is a house that has been converted into two cottages, dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with brick noggings and has been extended to the right by a late 20th-century brick cross wing. The building has a thatched roof and is single storey with an attic. It is arranged in bays of 2, 1/2, and 1, likely with an original lobby entry in the half bay. The framing consists of three panels high with straight corner braces. The entrance to Bumpkins is now accessed through a 20th-century brick porch. The property has small paned leaded windows and a leaded flush dormer. Dormy Cottage occupies the right bay of the original house, featuring a stack added to the back of the original hall stack. It has casement windows and one flush dormer, with the roof being half hipped to the left and a 20th-century slated lean-to added to the gable end.
