Description

The conduit head, or spring, located off the north side of Westbury Road in Edington, dates back to the 14th century and was built to supply water to the Priory of Bonshommes. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a gabled front with a coped verge, a diagonal buttress on the left, and a central square-headed doorway. Inside, there are stone troughs and a stone roof supported by two chamfered stone ribs. This site is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, Wiltshire No 295.
