Description
Old Manor Farmhouse is a detached house dating from the early 17th century. It is characterised by square-panelled timber framing and a thatched roof. The building comprises a main range with a cross wing. The main range is two storeys high with three windows. A thatched porch shelters a door with six fielded panels, positioned to the right of the cross wing. To the right are two segmental-headed casements, and on the first floor, a two-light casement and a small oriel supported by a carved bracket. The cross wing to the left features a two-light casement on both the ground and first floors of the front elevation. A half-glazed door is located on the left return, covered by a thatched canopy. The left and right returns of the farmhouse have been rebuilt using dressed limestone. The rear of the house incorporates 20th-century lean-to extensions. First-floor rear windows include a two-light casement, a four-light casement, and a small pair of sashes to the right. Although the interior was inaccessible during a survey in July 1986, it is recorded to contain timber-framed partitions, chamfered beams, and open fireplaces with chamfered lintels resting on stone jambs.
