Description
The E.C. Hill monument is a chest tomb located about 4 metres east of the chancel of the Church of Saint Mary and Saint Ethelbert. This tomb dates from the early 19th century and is made of ashlar stone. It features crudely detailed baluster angles and bordered plaques on each side, which are decorated with incised strip patterns. The monument bears an inscription commemorating Elizabeth Cox Hill, who died in 1833.
