Description
This is a detached cottage, dating to around 1600. It is constructed with square-panelled timber-framing, with brick between the timbers, set on a rubble stone plinth. The roof is covered with Bridgwater tiles, and there is an axial brick stack. The cottage is single-storey with an attic and has two windows on the front. A central planked door is flanked by a three-light casement window on either side. The left return has been rebuilt in the 19th century using limestone and brick in a random chequer pattern, featuring two-light casement windows. The rear elevation retains its timber frame, with lean-to extensions added at some point. Interior access was not possible when surveyed in February 1987.
