Description

Reeves Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with later additions in the 18th century. It is timber framed, largely brick-clad, and has a thatched roof. The house comprises a single storey and attic, with two main bays and an offset forward wing of one bay, incorporating 20th-century lean-to additions. A long, single-storey service wing extends to the rear. Narrow service rooms are located beneath the roof extension. A boarded door is set within a lean-to on the front wing. There are three-light windows. Timber framing is exposed on the right gable, arranged in three panels. The thatch is swept over one dormer and half-hipped over an attic window in the right gable. Internally, a chamfered spine beam is present.
