Two Monuments In The Churchyard, 10 Metres North Of Nave, Church Of All Saints

There are two chest tombs located in the churchyard, 10 meters north of the nave of the Church of All Saints. These tombs date from the late 18th century and are made of limestone.

The first tomb is dedicated to John and Sarah Sparrow and features angle balusters with floral decoration and drapery drop pilasters framing central panels on each side. These panels include winged putti and drapery borders. The north side has incised Roman and italic lettering for Sarah Sparrow, while the lettering on the south side is eroded. It has a moulded base, a reeded frieze to the cornice, and a cyma recta moulded slab.

The second tomb is unidentified and has angle pilasters and central pilasters that form two panels on each side. The lettering on this tomb is also eroded. It shares similar architectural features with a moulded base, a reeded frieze to the cornice, and a cyma recta moulded slab.
