Description

Two Sparrow Monuments, located about 7 metres north of the west tower in the churchyard of the Church of St. Michael, are two chest tombs belonging to the Sparrow family, dating from 1792 and 1812. They are made of limestone and feature flat tops with moulded capping, although no plinths are visible. Each tomb has quarter baluster corners and sides that are divided into three panels. At the time of the survey in May 1985, both monuments were semi-overgrown and showing signs of deterioration.
