Description
This cottage, located 70 meters east of Dane Brook, dates back to the 17th century. It features a timber frame and brick construction with a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of two bays, following a lobby entry plan. The entrance has a boarded door, and there are timber casement windows. The thatch extends over two flush dormers, one of which is blocked, and is half hipped, with the thatch also extending down at the rear over a lean-to. The framing in the right bay has been replaced with 18th-century brickwork, while the left bay has been refaced in the 20th century. There is also a timber clad extension on the left side.
