Description
The dovecote and associated walls at Fyfield Manor date from the 18th century and form the pool court. The dovecote is constructed from sarsens and limestone rubble, with brick banding and quoins. It has a tiled roof and a square plan with rounded internal corners. The square glover features a pyramidal tiled roof. There is a small door on the east side and a window on the west side. Inside, there are 11 ranges of whitewashed nesting holes, with 34 holes in each range, totaling approximately 350 holes. A central potence is present, but the frame and ladder are now missing. The walls extend from the north and west sides, standing about 3 meters high, with brick-on-edge copings and a stone scroll feature against the house.
