Description
No. 25 High Street is a row house with origins dating back to the 17th century, which was refronted in the mid-19th century. The east front features incised render, while the rear is constructed of coursed rubble, topped with a concrete tile roof and a stone stack at the north end. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two stories tall with a three-window east front. The ground floor has two shop windows, and the upper floor features top-opening lights, all set within block rendered surrounds. There is a central doorway with a flat hood supported by carved brackets, leading to a 20th-century door that includes a glazed panel. To the left, there is an additional side passage doorway with a part-glazed 20th-century door. This building is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
