Description

The shelter shed at Little Manor Farm is an open-fronted structure built in the second half of the 18th century. It features weather-boarding on a timber frame, resting on an English bond brick plinth, with Flemish bond brick at the rear. The roof is half-hipped and thatched. The shed has six bays, with the open front facing the farmyard, which is partly boarded. There is straight bracing from the main posts to the wall plate. The roof is supported by butt-purlins, with straight bracing and raking struts connecting the principals to the tie-beam with a collar. This shelter shed is attached to the barn at its south end.
