Description

DURNFORD - SU 13 NW 8/109 Swayne monument in churchyard, approximately 10m south of west end of nave, Church of St Andrew

II Chest tomb. C18. Thick limestone ledger slab, chamfered on its lower arris, and set on a brick base. Slab inscribed on top to Bennet Swayne, died 1742, Martha Swayne, wife, died 1759, and Jean, daughter, died 1759.
