Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a 17th or early 18th century cottage with a gable end facing the street. It is constructed of chalkstone faced with colourwashed brick, which replaced earlier timber framing. The roof is thatched, with a hipped section to the right and over the extension. The cottage originally comprised two bays, a hall and an inner room, and has since been extended by a third bay beyond the gable stack. A 20th-century tiled porch with a stable door provides access. The hall features a square-paned bay window, while the inner room has a paned window. 19th-century casement windows are found on the first floor. A brick stack is also present.
