Former village school, now house and sculptor's studio. 1851 with 1893 and later additions and alterations. Squared and coursed rubble with brick and stone dressings and stone slate roof to main range, brick to later rear addition and double Roman tile roof to rear C20 south-east addition. Long 4-bay range parallel to road with rear and north-east additions. North-west front with 3 cambered-arched windows: timber cross-mullion fenestration with leaded octagonal glazing. Timber porch to right has carved bressumer with oak leaves and acorns and archway with inscription: 'COME/YE/CHILDREN/AND/HEARKEN/UNTO/ME/I/WILL/TEACH/YOU/THE/FEAR/OF/ THE/LORD'; Tudor-arched plank door with fine Celtic-style hinges Central lateral brick stack with stone dressings and bricks laid in herringbone bond. Bell turret to right gable apex with lead pyramidal cap. South-west wall below turret has leaf carving with the initials 'RP/CHP/LSW'. The Old School is representative of an Arts and Crafts embellishment carried out by the Pollen family to several buildings in Rodbourne.
