Description

The Village Cross, located on the north side of The Street in Rodbourne, is a 14th-century structure with a late 19th-century shaft. It is made of limestone and features a base consisting of three steps that are square in shape and decrease in size leading up to a square socket with chamfered upper corners. The shaft rises to a height of 3 meters, transitioning from a square plan to an octagonal shape through chamfers, and is topped with a crucifix that has leaf carving at the apex. This cross is situated at the intersection of the former packhorseway to Malmesbury.
