Description
Trinity Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 'JC/1623' located on the south side of Rodbourne in St Paul Malmesbury Without. It features a late 19th-century addition and alterations, including a Pollen pelican at the apex of the southeast gable. The original 17th-century section is constructed of coursed rubble, while the 19th-century addition is made of brick, with timber lintels and a stone slate roof supported by three brick stacks. The long range of the building is set at right angles to the road, with the 19th-century extension at the northwest end.
The northeast front has two storeys and an attic, with four windows. The windows in the 17th-century range are three-light 19th-century casements, and there are two bay windows on the left gabled section, with the first-floor window featuring leaded latticework glazing. The attic has a two-light window with similar glazing, while the 19th-century addition includes four-light ovolo-moulded mullions. The doorway at the junction of the two sections has a flat hood on wrought iron brackets and a six-panel door. Inside, there is a heavily chamfered beam in the ground floor room to the left.
