Description
14-16 George Street is a late 18th-century building that has been altered. It has two storeys and an attic, constructed from colour-washed brick with a mansard roof covered in old tiles and three brick chimneys along the ridge. The building features three dormers, which include two casements and one glazing bar sash, all of different dates.
For No 14, there is a glazing bar sash window on the first floor and a mid-19th century shop front on the ground floor, which has four panelled strip pilasters and an entablature above, with a central entrance. No 15 has a tripartite window and a single window on the first floor, while the ground floor includes two plate glass windows and a half-glazed door. No 16 features a pair of glazing bar sashes on the first floor and a new shop front on the ground floor.
