  1. Mid C19 angled corner block with Sambourne Road; late C18 wing to right. Main block 3 storeys with chamfered corners. Painted brick with ashlar cill bands to 1st and 2nd floors and ashlar lintels. Hipped slate roof, gable end chimney to right, One range of windows per angle plus one range of windows to left on north angle, a blocked window on 1st floor of chamfered corner with painted signs; glazing bar sashes, single hung on 1st floor. 2 modern segmental windows on ground floor, wide with many panes, small doorway to right. Good entrance on chamfered corner with ashlar surround and excellent lettering on lintels "Alfred Cockerell, Licenced dealer. Tea, Coffee, Pepper, Tobacco, Snuff, 1860". The keystone has the present proprietors name and date 1970 on it. 2 storey C18 range to right, also painted brick, band over ground floor, right hand part painted. 2 plus 1 windows per floor, glazing bar sashes except to 1st floor to left, moulded wooden architraves. Tiled roof with brick ridge chimney, various extensions to Sambourne Road with tiled roofs and a large segmental headed coach arch, now glazed and a wide yard entry to left. i
