Description

Nos 7 and 8 Silver Street are late 18th century to early 19th century buildings that were altered in the mid-19th century and recently modified for a shop front. The buildings are two storeys with an attic and are constructed of painted brick. They feature a mansard roof covered with old tiles and have gable end chimneys. On the left side, there is a large mid-Victorian gable with a coped verge, a shaped attic light, and a short lancet triplet window on the first floor. The right side has a two-light raking top dormer and a glazing bar sash window with a keystone on the first floor, along with a central glazed door that also has a keystone, and a plate glass shop window to the right. These buildings are included for their group value.
