Description
Little Court is a mid to late 18th century building that was altered in the early 19th century. It is two storeys high and features a rendered exterior with an ashlar plinth and a moulded drip over the ground floor. The building has three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all of which are glazing bar sashes with moulded wooden architraves.
A projecting central porch from the mid-19th century has a segmental entrance and round-headed side windows. The entrance is marked by a fine six-panel door that is raised and fielded. The roof is covered with old tiles and has brick chimneys at the gable ends. There is a rubble return to the road with gabled extensions and one dormer window.
Little Court is situated behind Nos 12 and 13 and is accessed via a narrow passageway lined with flagstones and pitched cobbles on either side. The front garden is enclosed by dwarf walls topped with spearhead railings and dog rails, featuring brick gate piers with moulded capping. The street gate is adorned with lotus standards and a plain overthrow.
