Description

This is an early 19th century building, originally a pair of houses and later used as the Old Police Station. It is located in Ash Walk, Warminster. The building is constructed of ashlar Bath stone with a projecting plinth and a let floor string, and has flat eaves and a hip slate roof with a central ashlar chimney. The front is divided into two halves, each with a slight break to the central bay. It features six single-hung sash windows on the first floor, five on the ground floor (originally four), and a modern door in the centre bay of the right-hand part. The windows in the projecting bay are narrower, with two panes each. A dwarf stone wall with rounded capping and two pairs of small gate piers fronts the road. A detached stable block stands at the rear.
