Description

No. 3 Oxford Street is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century, situated on a steep slope overlooking Lottage Road. The exterior is characterised by colourwash over part timber framing, with brick and sarsen infill, and weatherboarding to the rear. It has a thatched roof. The cottage is a single storey with an attic, originally comprising two bays, with a later lean-to extension to the left. A 20th-century glazed door is positioned opposite a central chimney stack, and there are four-pane casement windows. The thatched roof is hipped at both ends and sweeps over two flush dormers to the front, with one dormer to the rear. The interior features chamfered spine beams.
