Description

Loggietta is a small stone structure, likely built in the early 19th century by architect Wyatt, but it has a design that appears to be from the 18th century. It may include Ionic columns that were originally part of flanking arcades at a grotto dating back to around 1635. The loggietta features three arches, with the center arch being slightly higher than the others. It has engaged Ionic columns on piers and a pulvinated frieze. The roof is a lean-to, which was originally a quadrant vault. The structure is aligned with the column of Venus Genetrix and once had classical busts positioned above the columns.
