Description

Dated 1849, 34-36 The Halve is a two-and-a-half-storey cottage row built at a right angle to the street. The building is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and features long and short quoins. The roof is slate and includes stone brackets supporting the gutter, along with three chimneys, one of which is ashlar. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, and there are four half dormers with stone surrounds. The ground floor features long and short windows, a total of five, with similar surrounds to two doors. A blocked segmental stone arch to the right of the entrance to number 36 contains a window of a similar design. The property forms part of a group with numbers 31 and 31A, number 32, numbers 34 to 37, and the wall between numbers 32 and 37.
