Description
26 The Halve is a building dating from the circa 1790s. It is two storeys high with a basement and is constructed from Bath stone, which sits on a projecting plinth. There are string courses at the first floor level and above the first floor windows. The building features a parapet with a projecting coping and a mansard roof covered in old tiles, which includes a modern attic light in the gable. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, with two on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The ground floor also has an eight-panel door set in a plain surround, adorned with shallow scroll brackets, a cornice, and a pediment, and is accessed by five steps. There are contemporary rails present, as well as a half-glazed door leading to the basement. The buildings numbered 25 to 29 on The Halve form a group with this property.
