Description
No 13, The Pound is a house that dates from the 16th century or early 17th century, with extensions added in the late 17th century and alterations made in the 19th century. The building features painted brick and timber-frame construction, topped with Bridgwater tile roofs, and has an east end stack. It is two storeys high.
The front wall is irregularly refaced in painted brick and includes a central six-panel door, with a triple casement window on each floor to the right. The right side of the building shows exposed rubble stone from the chimney, and there is exposed box framing to the right of the outside stack. The west end wall displays exposed framing on the upper floor and gable, along with a triple casement window on each floor. The rear wing has ridge and north end stacks, with thin square framing and long angle braces. The front features 20th-century casements, and there is a lean-to verandah at the rear.
