Description
The gate piers and west wall to the kitchen garden of Clyffe Hall, located on the south side of the B3098 in Market Lavington, date from the 18th century, although they were likely rebuilt in the 19th century. The gate piers, measuring 70 centimeters, are constructed of brick and feature stone dressings, a pulvinated frieze, a cornice, and large raised acorn finials. The wall to the east is approximately 6 meters long and meets the kitchen garden wall. This red brick wall, which has a crinkle-crankle design, is about 2.4 meters high and 42 meters long, topped with weathered stone coping. It includes a central opening with an iron gate, likely from the 19th century, and is adorned with some stone vases.
